In the beautiful province of Alsace in France, an area world famous for its Rieslings and Gewürztraminers, my affection for wine began at an early stage. My parents owned a restaurant and I used to help them in my spare time.
To broaden my knowledge, I decided to move to the United Kingdom in 1999. Two years later, I was admitted to the Court of Master Sommeliers.
In order to stay abreast of the developments in the wine world, I constantly participate in competitions and trips to wine regions of the world.
In 2004, I won the UK Sommelier of the Year competition. In 2006 and 2008, I had the great honour of taking third place and being France’s sole representative in The Best Sommelier of Europe Competition. In 2007, I participated at The World’s Best Sommelier Competition where I was a runner-up and in 2013, I was placed fourth.
